Rowdy Brown/White Rice
You can make regular brown rice or white rice from your grocery store Rowdy too!
Add a large spoonful of peanut, soybean or canola oil to a heavy iron pot then a cup of uncooked rice. Heat it to high and stir it constantly until the rice kernels begin to open. The final cooked rice will have a nice bust look.
This usually takes about 3 – 5 minutes. Have the water ready, use 2 cups of fresh water to each cup of uncooked rice. Add 2 chicken bouillon cubes instead of salt and a healthy dash of Tumeric.
Cover and cook on low for 45 minutes or until all the water has been absorbed.
Rowdy Rice is delicious both hot and cold. It serves a great basis for our Rowdy Rice and Beans recipe and some of our other dishes. I hope you’ll enjoy Rowdy Rice.
This is Michele Moore, CEO of Happiness Habit wishing you great health and happiness.
